AS Adverting
Established in 1976, AS Advertising is a small advertising, marketing, and design agency that has strong client relationships with a multitude of companies in various industries. From Sofina Foods Inc. to Connon Nurseries, AS Advertising creates impactful and  recognizable packaging, branding, and promotional assets. With under four employees, time management, initiative, and collaboration is a must for designers.
My Experience
Being able to speak to clients directly throughout the design process gave me the skills to produce work that is thoughtful and effective while considering the client's wants and needs. Understanding each company's preferences and objectives gave me insight on how to work collaboratively towards a final product that will fit seamlessly into the company's pre-existing assets. One thing I really enjoyed about working for an agency is being able to create work for different types of businesses, big and small! This presents the unique opportunity as a designer to adapt to a multitude of different design styles and task-switch effectively to meet deadlines.
Branding for Chef John
Bothwell Cheese
2023
‍The goal of this project was to create a logo for Chef John from Bothwell Cheese that can be used on social media. The client wanted the logo to have a circle shape, resemble a stamp, have an edgy look, and include 'Slice & Dice with Chef John'.
Solution

The final logo included all of the requests from the client along with a rough sketch of Chef John's face. The result is an edgy yet professional logo which is recognizable, original, and fun. Chef John now has a badge he can use for his Slice & Dice series so all Bothwell Cheese customers can learn some new and tasty recipes!

Promotional Videos
AS Advertising/Sofina/Connon Nurseries
2022, 2023
The AS Advertising video was created using After Effects to promote AS Advertising through animated type. The goal was to create a fast-paced, engaging, and exciting video that conveys the services provided and extensive expertise in advertising.

Sofina is a valued client of AS Advertising that has been with the company for decades. The purpose of the Sofina video is to showcase all the digital/printed ads, packaging/label designs, coupons, and other POS materials that have been created over the years by AS Advertising for the brand and all their products.

Connon Nurseries wanted to showcase their products at a 2023 Landscape Ontario event celebrating over 50 years of landscaping with a quick and fun video. Shooting and editing the video together in a timely manner was an absolute pleasure. Connon Nurseries was pleased with the end result and was able to show how hard their landscapers and team works to transform a house into a home with trees, shrubery, and flowers!

Dutchman's Gold
2022, 2023
Dutchman's Gold is a family owned and run business that prioritizes telling their story and spreading wellness through their all-natural products. These digital assets are just one way that they communicate to their customers how their products will improve overall health and wellness. The square assets are used for instagram posts and informative slides on their product pages to communicate to returning and new consumers about the benefits of each item. The horizontal and vertical (desktop and mobile format) banners below were used on the front page of their website as a head banner each month to promote any sale or seasonal items.
